I developed my passion for consuming real food through my own health journey. I had reached a point in life where I found myself feeling sick and exhausted all the time. I became frustrated and started to feel a bit hopeless as my doctor assessed my labs and told me everything looked good. I knew something wasn't right and I was tired of feeling so unwell.
That's when I discovered holistic nutrition and this concept of using real food as medicine. I emersed myself in every resource I could find and began to feel hopeful that I was finally on the right path.
I learned that eating real food to support balanced blood sugar is important for everyone, not just people with diabetes. I experimented with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and was amazed at what I learned. As I incorporated these valuable insights, my energy started to return, and I started to feel like me again.
I worked on my gut health to tackle IBS, SIBO, parasites, and candida which taught me firsthand just how important gut health is. I was amazed to discover how my gut impacted every aspect of my life including my thoughts, my sleep, and my hormones.
My personal journey led me to the Nutrition Therapy Institute where I completed my Nutrition Therapist Master Certification. The knowledge I gained through this certification was invaluable. I want everyone to know that it is possible to feel good and thrive in life. I think it is time we take ownership of our health by making informed decisions about the foods we consume.
